We will meet you at your hotel at 8.00 am for pick you and then drive towards the Sacred Valley of the Inkas. It will take about 45 minutes to get to our first stop which will be Chincheros. Chincheros is a small inka living town where you will explore the inka site of chincheros with her many farming terraces which the Inkas used to farm potatoes. From here you will head to the famous roman catholic church which has amazing paintings from the 16th century, with amazing colors. Once you have left the Church you will visit the famous hand made craft center where you will see the ladies working in the traditional style demonstrate how they weave together beautiful alpaca sweaters. We will then drive to Moray inka site which is the largest inka agricultural experimentation center with the most famous farming terraces for the inkas to study soil and weather effects on crops. A close drive from Moray is Maras, beautiful salt mines carved into the mountain. There are more than 3000 small salt pools, each individually owned by a family in Maras. These salt pools have been used and cultivated the same way since the incas and are the main source of salt for all the Cusco region. We will stop for a nice lunch in Urubamba before heading to the last attraction of the day, Ollantaytambo fortress. Ollantaytambo, known as the living inka city, was a very importation village during inca times and includes some beautiful attractions, including the Temple of the Sun. This building was built with massive stones brought for over 4km away. We will enjoy some dinner in Ollantaytambo before heading on the 7PM train to Aguas Calientes. It will take 2 hours to Aguas Calientes and once you arrive, we will make sure you get to your hotel safely and bed early for a good night sleep aventuras inca trail best.
