Day 1Cusco - Paucartambo - Bambu Lodge

Your five-day Manu National Park Tours adventure with Machu Picchu Amazon Peru begins early in the morning. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to kickstart your journey. Tres Cruces:
Post breakfast, we’ll continue our drive up to Ajanaco or Tres Cruces. It is a spectacular viewpoint offering pristine views of the Amazon Basin. We’ll pause here to soak in the panoramic beauty of the region. This view serves as a preview of the adventures awaiting us in the heart of the Amazon Jungle.

Next, we will drive down through the cloud forests on the eastern slope. This marks our descent into the lowland region of the Amazon Jungle. This biodiverse region, abundant with distinct flora and fauna, marks the beginning of our Manu National Park Tours.

Day 2Bambu Lodge - Madre De Dios River - Soga De Oro Lodge

Welcome to day two of our Manu National Park Tours with Machu Picchu Amazon Peru. After waking up to the entrancing sounds of the Amazon, we’ll savor a local breakfast at Bambu Lodge. Fueled up, we will embark on a short drive to Atalaya Boat Pier.

This is the transition point from land travel. Here, we prepare for the next stage of our adventure. Now, our Tour Cusco Manu journey continues by water.

Our journey by car ends at the pier. Here we will begin an exhilarating 40-minute motorized boat ride upstream on the Madre de Dios River. The river, a major tributary of the Amazon River, paints a picture of the jungle’s vibrant heart. Upon reaching Soga de Oro Lodge, our hospitable crew will extend a warm welcome and assist you with check-in.

Welcome to the heart of Manu National Park:
As the clock strikes noon, we will gather in the dining area. Here we will taste our first traditional Amazon meal of this Manu National Park Tour. Prepared by locals, the food served here celebrates the unique flavors of jungle ingredients.

Day 3Soga De Oro Lodge

After this morning adventure, we return to the lodge for a replenishing lunch. The afternoon then holds a relaxing boat ride to the natural hot springs located amidst the captivating Peruvian Rainforest. These springs create an unforgettable experience on this Tour Cusco Manu. The visit to the nearby picturesque waterfalls further enriches the experience for all nature lovers.

Day 4Soga De Oro Lodge - Bambu Lodge

Welcome to day four of our Manu National Park Tours with Machu Picchu Amazon Peru. We will be serving a hearty breakfast at Soga de Oro Lodge. We will then embark on an adventure-filled ride on a native boat, aptly named “peke-peke”.

It gets its name due to the unique sound of its motor. This 20-minute downstream journey leads us deeper into the heart of the jungle, an experience unmatched in our Tour Cusco Manu.

Our destination is a vibrant part of the Amazon Rainforest, teeming with brilliantly colored parrots. Keep your eyes peeled for the Mealy Parrot (Amazona farinosa), and the Blue-Headed Parrot (Pionus Menstruus). You can also see the Chestnut-fronted Macaw (Ara Severa) among others.

As the morning draws to a close, we return to the lodge for lunch. Again, our chef presents a feast of traditional jungle cuisine. Post-meal, enjoy a peaceful nap amidst the serene jungle soundscape.

As the afternoon unfolds, we begin our venture. We set out on a hike along one of the trails around the lodge. This trail reveals the pristine beauty of Manu National Park. The trail offers opportunities to spot different species of birds, animals, and endemic species while also passing by native communities.

The route weaves through a region abundant in medicinal plants and trees, which locals still depend on for healthcare. Our knowledgeable guides will share insights into these remarkable natural remedies and the biodiversity of this area.

As dusk approaches, we will pause to witness the sunset in the Amazon Rainforest. This is a highlight of any Manu National Park Tour from Cusco. The first leg of our return journey is a motorboat ride back to Atalaya Pier. It is a relaxing way to reflect on our Tour Cusco Manu experiences.

At Atalaya Pier, our driver will be ready with the transport for the scenic drive back to the city of Cusco. We will begin our journey transitioning from the lush greenery of the Amazon Rainforest.
