During 5 days you’ll explore some of the mountain passes of the Andes, while trekking to the beautiful Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain. The route is full of breathtaking highland landscapes dotted with local Andean farms. The mountain passes are located at an average altitude of 5100 m.a.s.l., so a good physical condition is required to participate in the trek.

Packages Details

Day 1

We’ll pick you up from your hotel at 4:30 am. Then, we’ll board a car and we’ll leave Cusco city at 5:00 am. We’ll be driving for around 3 hours to Tinki, where we’ll have lunch. Afterwards, we’ll start our hike to Upis. The trek will take around 3 hours. Once in Upis, we’ll have dinner and we’ll visit the hot springs. We’ll be spending the night here.

Day 2

After having breakfast in Upis, we’ll hike to the Arapa Pass, located at 5100 m.a.s.l. After arriving in Yanacocha, we’ll walk for another 2 hours to the Puka Qocha Pass, located at 5100 m.a.s.l. Then, we’ll hike for around 1 hour to the Anata campsite, where we’ll have a delicious lunch. Afterwards, we’ll continue our journey to the Huarmy Saya Pass, located at 5100 m.a.s.l. Finally, we’ll arrive at the Surnie campsite, located at 1 hour from the Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain.

Day 3

After having breakfast, we’ll walk for one hour to the top of the Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain, which is located at 5000 m.a.s.l. You’ll have time to take photos and enjoy the surrounding landscape. Then, we’ll return to Ananta campsite to have lunch. Next, we’ll walk for 3 hours to the Laguna Ausangatecocha campsite, where we’ll have dinner and spend the night.

Day 4

After breakfast, we’ll walk for 6 hours to the Ze Palomani Pass, located at 5200 m.a.s.l. Then, we’ll arrive at the Huchuy Finaya campsite where we’ll have lunch. Afterwards, we’ll hike for 3 hours to the Sorapata campsite, where we’ll have dinner and spend the night.

Day 5

We’ll wake up early and have breakfast. Then, we’ll hike to the Ampa Pass, located at 5100 m.a.s.l. Next, we’ll walk for 2 hours to the Pachar campsite, where we’ll have lunch. Afterwards, we’ll visit the 7 Lagoons, a beautiful natural attraction located in the Andes of Cusco. Finally, we’ll go to the hot springs of Pacchanta, before returning to Cusco city.
